A dream for thousands of athletes as they arrived to compete in the 9th South Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea in September 1991. As the competition unfolded some achieved their dreams with gold medals. However they all contributed to the sucess of of the most significant sporting event ever held in the South Pacific. It was a magnificient spectacle and created enduring goodwill between the competing countries.
