The most common cause of death in developed countries today is cardio-vascular disease resulting from high blood pressure. But high blood pressure is a silent menace and it often goes undetected until it causes some form of heart attack or until it damages some other vital organs such as the brain or the kidneys. But these problems can be avoided by early detection and doctors do recommend regular check-ups.
